Here I am, heading to my bedroom in the new corporate apartment for a good night of sleep. I left the lights and the TV on in the living room, so I could find the channel of the movie I was watching and watch it while I went to sleep. Once I found the channel (Z Studios) on the TV in my bedroom, I went to the living room to shut off the TV. The moment I pressed the power button on the remote, I heard the TV in my bedroom turn to static. At first, I thought it was the same issue I was having earlier with static on the other TV. I turned the living room TV on again to check; that TV seemed fine, so I turned it back off. Something was wrong with my TV.
I walk to my bedroom to play around with the cable a bit. Nothing really seemed to do the trick. I walked back to the living room to turn on the TV, and I hear the TV in my bedroom switch back on. I paused, thinking to myself, “what possible difference could it make to have the living room TV on at the same time?”
I took the living room remote as close as I could to my bedroom, and I played with turning the living room TV on and off while I listened to the static disappear then reappear each time.
Yes, the sheer fact that the living room TV is on will affect the signal in the bedroom. Nice.
